The Hollywood Hair Theory
To make it big in Hollywood, you need to create an identifiable brand for yourself. With so many aspiring and talented individuals, not everyone can make it into the spotlight. A highly effective branding technique that so many celebrities use is their hair.
The Hollywood hair theory - when celebrities don’t take off in their career until they have very recognizable hair. This theory does not apply to everyone, but is definitely a common tactic used by a lot of celebrities. Some household-named celebrities who used this type of branding when achieving high success are Billie Eillish, Chappel Roan, Ariana Grande, Ice Spice, and Sabrina Carpenter. When these celebrities were reaching an immense amount of fame, their look almost never changed, as it needed to be something that the public would soon associate with that person's image - Ariana Grande with her high ponytail, Chappel Roan with her voluminous red hair, Ice Spice with her curly-orange hair, etc. All of these individuals have iconic hair that gives them a memorable look.
Sabrina Carpenter, in specific, really is great for highlighting this theory. Sabrina has been acting and releasing music for over 10 years now, but not until recently has her career skyrocketed. A major contributor to her recent blow up is her identifiable aesthetic, specifically her hair. From the bangs to the blowout, Sabrina has mastered the perfect look for herself, and created a brand that has secured her as one of the most famous people in Hollywood in this generation.
